Hey there! Now, that you have heard about Windows Home Server, I can finally say something about it. Well, not much. You can go to http://stopdigitalamnesia.com to watch a video on it and get up to speed.

Anyway, I was just given an Invitation Code to give to friends and family to get them in on this beta and I picked you. Yeah, I know, you can thank me later. Anyway, you have some shopping to do after you follow the instructions below. Here is how you get on the Windows Home Server Beta…

Your Beta ID is ＸＸＸＸＸＸＸＸ.  What you need to do is:

1) visit our Web site at http://connect.microsoft.com.

2) Click on "Invitations" on the left-side menu.

3) You will need to sign in using a valid Windows Live ID (i.e. Passport) before you can continue to the "Invitations" page.

4) Enter your Invitation ID in the blank.

Please use the invitation ID that was provided to you: ＸＸＸＸＸＸＸＸ

5) Click "Go."

6) If you have not previously registered with Microsoft Connect, you may be required to register before continuing with the invitation process.

If this process doesn’t work for you, please contact me or send mail to WHSBeta@microsoft.com and they will help you get registered.

After you get in let me know, I can help you get some DVD’s burned or better yet, maybe you should use mine. Did I mention, what a pain burning DVD’s is like? We can talk about the killer system we can build later.
